AutoCorrect dialog box
- Correct TWo INitial CApitals Automatically make corrections if you type two consecutive uppercase letters at the beginning of a word. For example, HAppy changes to Happy.
- Capitalize first letter of sentences Automatically capitalize the first letter of the first word in each sentence. To create a capitalization style that doesn't always capitalize the first word of sentences, click Exceptions.
- Capitalize names of days Automatically capitalize the first letter of the names of days of the week.
- Correct accidental use of CAPS LOCK key Automatically correct mistakes involving the CAPS LOCK key. If you accidentally type a word in title case with the CAPS LOCK key turned on when this feature is enabled, it corrects the capitalization of the words you typed and turns off the CAPS LOCK key. For example, hAPPY changes to Happy.
- Replace text as you type Automatically correct and replace text as you type. Click Add or Delete to add or delete automatic replacement text.
Click Exceptions to open a dialog box that lists abbreviations or terms with mixed capitalization that you don't want Microsoft Office to correct automatically.
